Join us for an engaging afternoon featuring a history lecture, cooking demonstration, and hands-on noodle-making experience—all centered on one of the most beloved foods in Ashkenazi Jewish cuisine: kugel.
From potato to noodle, sweet to savory, kugel has been a staple of Jewish tables for generations. But how much do you know about its history? In this fascinating presentation, Jennifer Bass explores the story behind this iconic dish, including its surprising Detroit connection, while demonstrating how to make traditional and non-traditional kugels.
Participants will also learn to make and take home their own lokshen (לאָקשן) (noodles) to use in a homemade kugel.
Don't miss this deliciously educational and truly “filling” afternoon!
