Panel Discussion: Rethinking the History of Antisemitism in Michigan

Warren Civic Center Library is hosting the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s traveling exhibit, "Americans and the Holocaust ," now through January 13, 2026.  What did Americans know about the Holocaust?  And what more could have been done?

Visit the exhibit, then join us for a timely panel discussion on "Rethinking the History of Antisemitism in Michigan."  Moderated by Kirsten Fermaglich, PhD (Michigan State University), the panel brings together experts in American Jewish history, Holocaust education, and antisemitism, including:

  • Karla Goldman, PhD (University of Michigan)

  • Margaret Lincoln, PhD (co-author, The Stones Weep: Teaching the Holocaust through a Survivor's Art)

  • Catherine Cangany, PhD (JHSM)
